I know I have you on the edge of your seats, but we must go in chronilogical order.
Friday was a crazy night, football started and all paperwork was due. August 1 is like Christmas Eve for popwarner football players. There were even older kids there that have moved on to high school checking out the practice.
Courtney and I went to Boot Camp together (a class hosted by two of the instructors from WOW), I think she kicked my butt this time.
Saturday was an ALL DAY baseball event in Dartmouth. The first game we played Easton and guess what? We WON! The kids really needed this win to boost there self esteem. It's been a tough All-Star season.
BUT....................during this game I received a phone call from Jeff, Courtney's boyfriend. I found it odd because he's the email king, especially now with his IPhone! He asked me if we were at home and I told him I was at Austin's game. He said "oh. Well, I'm going to ask Courtney to marry me tomorrow and I am asking your permission"
WHAT!!! OH MY GOD I shouted! Luckily, I was on the bleachers in the outfield by myself. I started to sob uncontrollably, Jeff was concerned that someone would stare at me. I assured him that I didn't care, but that I was alone and it was okay! Let me CRY! Once I was able to contain myself, he filled me in on the details. They were going for massages in the morning, out to dinner and then to Fort Phoenix where they met for the big question. I told Roger I didn't think he'd make it past the massage. Ha ha!
After we hung up, I needed to tell someone. I started to cry again and now I want to shout but the people that saw me cry earlier were ignoring me thinking I'm having some kind of breakdown. So I called Tracy (Chandler's Mom) because she's my parent-partner during baseball and she wasn't anywhere to be found. I said "where are you" and she said "I'm pulling into the parking lot, why?" all I could get out was "I'm crying and I'm all alone". Now she's thinking what is wrong with this chick, but assured me she would be here STAT! She showed up and I told her the story. I could see the goosebumps!!Thanks Tray!
So the game is over, we win, now we play tonite at 7 pm. We rush home because the "pool guy" is there and we want to take advantage of his presence. He finished up what he had to do and I was able to throw the chemicals in and the aquabot so we anticipate the pool to be ready by tomorrow. Just waiting on the cement to be poured and we are ready for a party!!!Well almost......Shortly after I threw in the chemicals the sky opened up and down came the rain. Thinking that the baseball game was going to be cancelled, (because that's what the weather man indicated) I poured myself a drink (tequila and ruby red to be exact). I was just starting to relax when I noticed the friggin sun was out. Oh crap, back to the baseball field!
The kids played another good game but ended up losing 5-3. The kids got to play under the lights but it was late (hour rain delay) and you could tell they were tired. Next game tomorrow, 2:30.

It was tough being around Courtney without saying anything, I wanted her to just go.......I'm so bad at keeping secrets. I kept my phone by my side all day just in case Jeff didn't make it to the beach. The baseball game was a quick one (we got 10 run ruled). Uncle Timmy showed up to watch and he has yet to see Austin's team win.
Home we go. Austin and Chandler were able to jump in the pool! Yeah its officially open! The neighbors must've heard the splashing because before you knew it the pool was full of kids. It was a sight for sore eyes. We cooked on the grille and lit a fire, it was great.
FINALLY, my phone rings. 5PM He made it to the beach!!! Courtney called me crying, "did you know something i didn't know" sniff sniff! I laughed and congratulated her. She had no idea. Their plan is Fall 2010. Plenty of time to plan a wedding. I'm happy for both of them, I hope they enjoy every minute......sniff sniff.
Here's a picture of the ring. I haven't seen the live one yet because she has to have it sized.
