Oooo it's been a while hasn't it? Sorry. My life is not that exciting. Now that the holiday's are over and the bills are piling in, I'm sure I'll have more time on my hands. Between Christmas shopping, studying for my exam and running Austin to basketball, there hasn't been a moment to spare. Last weekend was pretty eventful, went shopping for wedding dresses! Yes, and we found one! Visiting David's bridal was such a nice experience. The setup is very accommodating. They have the dresses in the front of the store and in the back they have 15 dressing rooms, each with a pedastal for the bride to stand on and mirrors everywhere. Each bride-to-be is assigned a "dress person" for lack of a better term. This poor person takes the dress out of the bag, helps the bride put it on, ties all the strings, buttons, etc. Then if the bride-to-be doesn't like it, on to the next dress! And believe me, some of the bridezilla's that were there giving these poor "dress ladies" a run for their money. Once the bride-to-be finds a #1 dress, they start pulling out the accessories, gloves, earrings, necklaces, vails, shoes, you name it. They give you the entire package and you can't help but feel like a princess! They also suck you into buying the accessories because you look like the bride on top of the wedding cake. Luckily, Courtney already had a dress in mind so she only tried on one! Sorry no photos to share, we don't want the groom to get a hold of them! :)
Went to see Marley and Me after that. Read the book so I knew what to expect, brought the Wendy's napkins in because we had no tissues. When I read the book, I remember sobbing uncontrollably, never expected it could get much worse than that. Well, it did. I would say, I cried for the last 10 minutes of the movie and didn't want to move to get the Wendy's napkins, so I just let the tears flow. Great movie though! I recommend it.
That's it for now, taking my test soon so hopefully, will have more time. Of course, with American Idol back on I'll be glued to the tv. Football banquet Sunday and Basketball tournament on Monday, busy weekend!
Here's the bride and groom-to-be!
